Cohen misjudges Clinton's tears
Richard Cohen should consider changing his career to writing shmaltzy cards for Halmark.
In his column on Jan. 13, entitled, "Obama alienated women with curt remark to Clinton," he stated that "Hillary's welling up was not a clear descent into self-pity, but a weep for the country," and further, at the end he opines that "Hillary has found her groove and that the wave Barack Obama kept saying he was riding broke on the shoals of his own cold indifference and a mother's (Hillary's) warm tears."
Oh, pul-ease.
I didn't know whether to groan or gag (I think I actually did both).
I believe Clinton was all choked up because the polls favored Obama, not because she was "weeping for the country." Richard, if you need an application for a job at Hallmark, I'll help all I can.
