Bean a Crane clone; vote for Scheurer
Remember 2004, when candidate Melissa Bean sent fliers suggesting Phil Crane was lazy, focusing on his trips and arguing he was out of touch with voters?
Congressman Phil Crane received most of his campaign contributions from out-of-state contributors who were not even his constituents. Therefore, Crane worked for corporations, but not constituents.
But what do we have today that's different from 2004? Congresswoman Bean may be 30 years younger, but she's a Phil Crane clone nonetheless.
According to www.OpenSecrets.org, Bean accepts more money from PACs than individuals, just like Crane. Crane voted for job-killing NAFTA and Bean voted for job-killing CAFTA. Have any jobs come from Mexico as a result of either?
Not one of my e-mails, faxes or calls have brought Bean to any issues that Americans care about like the dwindling middle class, declining paychecks, outsourcing, job loss, Katrina, and Iraq.
Bean prefers to take the safe road with talk about stopping a railroad in northern Illinois, which any constituent would easily oppose. Yet she refuses to act on, or even discuss real issues. Has she ever sponsored just one bill?
Eighth District Illinois voters deserve better. I'll be voting for Randi Scheurer.
