Attack doesn't justify banning of knives

Understand that this is not about making light of the attack on the Elgin High School teacher. I can only hope that she fully recovers, both mentally and physically.

What this about is banning another way of inflicting pain on our fellow man. The list just keeps getting longer.

If you follow the logic of those who know what is best for the rest of us, we have to add banning knives to that list.

Thus far the list should consist of; knives; baseball bats, forks; cars; trucks; airplanes; doctors; lawyers; motorcycles; scooters; bicycles; roller skates; skate boards; guns. Don't forget certain types of dogs. Tools of all kinds. Man.

In case you haven't notice, those making the decision to ban anything are really taking away something more precious -- your freedom. Think for yourself.

Don't let those who are running for political positions tell you one thing and do just the opposite, the norm over the last 20 to 30 years. Vote for those more interested in making changes for the well-being of all the voters and not just the money-givers.

Next thing you know they will be banning the Bible.
