Cabot, IBM to create new devices

AURORA -- Cabot Microelectronics Corp. Tuesday said it entered into an agreement with International Business Machines Corp. to jointly develop chemical mechanical planarization technology for next-generation integrated circuit devices. Under the agreement, Cabot will use its experience and resources to collaboratively address IBM's 32 and 22 nanometer technology challenges and develop effective solutions.
