Assembly begins of 777 Freighter
CHICAGO -- Boeing has begun assembly of the 777 Freighter, a plane the company says will fly father with more capacity than any other twin-engine cargo plane. Chicago-based Boeing has sold 80 of the planes to 11 customers. The first 777 Freighter will be delivered to customer Air France at the end of the year, according to Boeing. The plane is the sixth model of the 777 family of airplanes. Boeing says the freighter will have a range of 5,600 miles and a payload capability of 114 tons.
