Vote for change, unity -- vote Laesch

On Feb. 5, I am voting for change and unity by voting for John Laesch twice for Congress.

John knows our federal immigration policies are dysfunctional. Congress has not taken responsibility for creating the changes needed in the federal policies that have created an environment of fear and divisiveness in our communities.

Rather than resorting to sound bites and fear mongering, John is ready to go to Washington and do something not only about the immigration policies, but also many of the issues that have landed us in this mess in the first place.

John Laesch knows that economic justice for all Americans also needs to be dealt with so that everyone can reach their human potential.

Economic justice starts with fair trade policies. NAFTA and other free trade agreements have destroyed the quality of life in other countries, so it is no surprise that workers come here to make more money in an hour than they can at home in one day.

John also knows that Congress must enact and enforce policies that ensure employers are not exploiting any workers. John knows that we must hold accountable the powers that are doing the exploiting, not the people just trying to make a life for themselves and their families.

John Laesch has said that we are a nation of hope. I hope you will all join with me in voting for him on Feb.5.

Together we can be a part of the solution to these issues.
