Villa Park police, FBI looking for murder suspect
The FBI has joined the hunt for a 33-year-old cabdriver suspected of fatally shooting his parents Jan. 7 at their home in Villa Park.
FBI agents recently met with Villa Park police and determined the suicide threat by Artur Shehu that led to the discovery of his parents' bodies may have been an attempt to throw off the investigation while he fled. The 33-year-old remains at large.
The complaint charges Shehu with fleeing the state to avoid prosecution of first-degree murder. He is believed to have a brother in Canada.
Police responding to a call Shehu made from a pay phone went to the family home and found his parents shot to death. Both had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
