Man charged in theft
Bond was set at $15,000 Saturday for a man police accused of trying to steal a vacuum cleaner and biting the hand of a store employee attempting to stop him.
Roy Aguirre, 35, 6109 W. Giddings St., Chicago, is charged with aggravated battery and retail theft.
He allegedly walked out of a Target store Friday evening in Norridge without paying for the vacuum, which was worth $469 then attacked an employee.
His next court date is Feb. 7 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
