Preserve jobs, don't bribe taxpayers
No thanks for the chicken in the pot President Bush.
Please use the $800 to create jobs for the trades in this country. I was not an economics major in college but I would bet the president a paycheck that I did get better grades in those classes, especially in labor economics.
Creation and preservation of jobs is what is needed now. Not a bribe to the American people.
I believe the Fed has kept interest rates artificially low so a major portion of our work force who work in construction would be kept working and thus an unrealistic growth in home ownership occurred.
Look at the number of foreclosures. I know it sounds callous to say but some families really were buying homes their financial means could not support.
Bush and his administration could not be so blind to have not seen the risk of a future implosion of the housing market. Create/save some jobs of value and on another note don't be afraid of science.
