Obama should disclose charities

Barack Obama for president. Is he the good choice? How do you separate the rhetoric from the substance? How can you accurately assess and gauge the true meaning of character? The answer is to put theories aside and look at the facts.

What better way than to look inside of a person and see what they are made of? Advisers, supporters and campaign managers surround political candidates. Their political motives are transparent. A candidate's leadership and ability to micromanage our nation is translucent.

Sen. Obama has now shed light into this perception by donating past political contributions linked to a man facing federal corruption charges. This appears to be a wise and noble decision.

What aren't revealed are exactly which charities the money traversed to. Knowing which can spotlight the true intentions of the inner desires to truly understand Barack Obama.

I don't know where the money went; wouldn't you like to know? My gut feeling tells me it went to worthy causes, and I'm gambling that by calling out his hand. Show us the trust.
