Meet Burgundy and Chestnut.

When you see one, the other one is never far away. Their bond to each other is evident. As puppies, they quickly got adopted together only to be brought back a little over a year later because their family had no time. These two guys, now about 1½ years old, bounce around in the play area laughing as they body-slam each other's chest. They also try to outsmart each other in what direction they are going to take off. Every day is a different show.

These pets are also looking for homes.

Chapelle is a 3-year-old FIV positive mellow guy that loves quiet petting sessions and spending time with his human and feline friends.

Ody is about 6- or 7-months-old with an orange tabby fur, soft to the touch. He loves other cats and would prefer a home with a playful cat or maybe one of his friends here.

Roseapple is a petite 2-year-old tortoiseshell girl. She doesn't care too much for other cats but did well when she got to meet a dog and is gentle with people, so she could live with kids, too.

Save-A-Pet is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Adoption fees are $125 for a kitten, $100 for a cat 1-year-old or older, $250 for a puppy up to 7-months-old, $150 for a dog 7-months- to 7-years-old and $125 for a dog older than 7 years.

Save-A-Pet now uses the identifying microchip on all dogs and cats entering the shelter.
