Briefs: Work will disrupt parking

The village of Barrington will start work next week on a storm sewer project to reestablish and improve drainage in the area of Summit and Lincoln streets. The village will install about 275 feet of a new sewer. It will be laid 250 feet east of the Barrington train station, underneath the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Construction will start in the north commuter parking lot and work its way south under the train tracks. The work will end near the south commuter parking lot on the south side of the railroad tracks. Village officials said accommodations have been made for those who use certain permit parking spaces in those lots that will be affected. Construction is scheduled to be finished by mid-April.
