Water meters replaced

The West Dundee village board Monday approved the replacement of about 250 residential water meters throughout the village. Public Works Director T.J. Moore said the village is about three years into a five-year program to replace residential water meters to ensure meters are functioning accurately. District fixing finance office

Huntley Unit District 158 will begin to implement Comptroller Stacie Talbert's recommendations to improve the district's internal controls. Talbert issued a report last month that found the district's financial reporting was lacking. With Talbert's oversight, the district's fiscal department will implement "quick fixes" and overhaul the purchasing process, according to a Jan. 16 memo from Talbert to the school board. Talbert is set to resign this month after just six months on the job. She has accepted a job as chief financial officer for the Rockford Park District.
