Patriots vs. Wildkits: The Stevenson Patriots traveled to Evanston to take on the Wildkits in a JV Metro North hockey match. The Wildkits bottled Stevenson up for the better part of two periods. Stevenson did score first, however. After a scoreless opening frame, Ricky Razdolsky got a goal when he sent a shot from the right boards about 40 feet from the net into the goal half a minute into the second period.

For most of the rest of the period that was the only score, as goalie Mitch Levinson bailed Stevenson out several times with clutch saves. But with 5 minutes to play, Evanston's hustle resulted in a breakaway goal for the Wildkits, tying the game at 1-1. Then with just under 2 minutes to play, Jake Gould got a loose puck, carried it through one Evanston player and all the way across the blue line to about 30 feet from the net. His shot on goal was blocked, but Brad Levinson picked up the loose puck and tipped it the required foot or two into the net to give Stevenson the lead.

One minute later, Justin One made a pass from the goal line extended right onto Gordon Ochi's blade 10 feet in front of the net. Ochi shot the puck just over the goalie's shoulder pad and into the goal. Then, a few minutes into the third period, Jonathan Gil combined with Justin Krupp allowing Krupp to skate in alone and score with a backhander. The final result was a 4-1 victory for Stevenson.
