Heating problem shuts Algonquin grade school

A heating problem this morning shut down Neubert Elementary School in Algonquin.

Students have been moved to Jacobs High School while repairs are conducted, a Community Unit School District 300 news release states.

At 10:20 a.m., the release says, all Neubert students were bused to the high school's new gymnasium.

It is unknown whether the heat will be restored today in order for students to return to Neubert.

Parents may pick up their children from Jacobs High School at any point today.

Additionally, Neubert afternoon kindergarten students will be automatically bused to Jacobs. Parents can either drop kindergarten students off at Jacobs or refrain from taking children to school today.

More information will be posted at dailyherald.com as it becomes available.
