McCain editorial got it all wrong
Your endorsement of John McCain was wrong for a variety of reasons.
First and foremost, it will take illegal immigration off the table as an election issue. There is no difference between John McCain and the Democrat candidates on this issue. The American people deserve a choice.
Your claim that John McCain is of superior character is false. John McClain is the only major Republican contender who has been involved in major scandal. As one of the "Keating Five," he attempted to kill the investigation of one of his major contributors. His interest in campaign reform occurred only after he was caught.
Finally, the absolute false statement in your editorial that McCain was a "distinguished military leader." While he served our honorably and bravely, he was not a leader. In fact, John McCain has never held a leadership or executive position.
He has shown a bad temper and thin skin. During the immigration debate, he resorted invective when flaw after flaw in his amnesty (if he says it isn't, he's the liar) was exposed. He is clearly unqualified to be president.
