To take the first leap onto the road to stardom, the Fox Valley can be a great place to step off. The following auditions have been set.
Fox Country Players: Fox Country Players will hold auditions for "You Can't Take It With You" from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Plano High School, 704 W. Abe St.
The show will be presented in the high school's new auditorium on April 11-13.
Director Rich Bryan will ask those who audition to read from the script. Seven women and 13 men will be cast, with ages ranging from mid-20s to over-60s.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy was written by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. It was first produced in New York in 1936, playing for 837 performances. It was the basis for Frank Capra's 1938 Academy Award winning film, which featured an all-star cast headlining James Stewart, Jean Arthur and Lionel Barrymore.
