Waukegan man struck, killed by plow

A man was struck and killed in a Waukegan parking lot by a private snow plow removing snow this morning, officials said.

Lake County Coroner Dr. Richard Keller said Miguel Gonzales, 34, died when a snow plow backed over him.

Gonzales, a Waukegan resident, lived in the apartment complex on the 3100 block of Granville where the accident occurred about 6:45 a.m., according to Keller.

Keller said the man died of multiple traumatic injuries. The coroner said it did not appear Gonzales fell.

"It just looks like he got behind the snow plow," Keller said. "(He) just was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
