Developer too quick in Buffalo Grove

The Buffalo Grove village board on Monday asked Village President Elliott Hartstein to follow the procedures set up before announcing incoming restaurants at a development.

Hartstein sent a notice to newspapers last week regarding a letter of intent for an eatery at Plaza Berenesa. Board members said they have not seen the letter of intent and didn't have a chance to approve it, as is provided for in village ordinances.

Hartstein said he would refrain from making announcements without board approval in the future.
