Prochno can carry on for Krause
To the editor: I was glad to see so many people turn out for the League of Women Voters candidates forum at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Our beloved state representative, Carolyn Krause, is retiring, and so she must be replaced. Carolyn has been an effective voice for our Northwest suburban communities all these many years.
We need someone who has political savvy and experience to bring our concerns to Springfield. Christine Prochno has 10 years' experience as an elected village trustee in Elk Grove Village. Her opponent was rejected in a village trustee election in Arlington Heights.
Christine is a public school teacher who both understands the importance of excellent local schools, she understands the complexities of funding education in our state. Her opponent gives one sentence answers to debate questions, like, "I'm opposed to any tax increases," but she gives no ideas for specific revenue sources or budget cuts.
Christine Prochno is endorsed by the retiring Carolyn Krause for many good reasons. Christine Prochno has the experience and effectiveness we need to send to Springfield.
