Vote for Ela Twp. referendum

Hats off to Lucy Prouty, Ela Township Supervisor, and her constituents, for their investigation and dedication to something so simple that ends up being so complicated - garbage collection service for a fair price!

Since the days of Lake Zurich Disposal are long gone, waste disposal companies have had unincorporated residents over a barrel. Prices have skyrocketed for waste and recycling removal. Unincorporated residents now pay 50 - 70 percent more than our municipal neighbors' garbage removal, in many ways with less services. We can not get the large wheeled recycling bins, nor refuse bins.

SWALCO wished us lots of luck to fix the situation, but Lucy took action.

Please vote yes for Ela Township referendum to negotiate a contract that will benefit all unincorporated Ela residents with a fair and reasonable price with full services for our garbage removal.
