Casino seemed very busy, despite ban
We visited the Aurora casino Jan. 5 and could not believe how packed it was. I think every nonsmoker in the world was there. It was a pleasure to gamble, eat and socialize. If Illinois law makers thought the gaming industry would be hurt by the no-smoking ban, I am here to tell you it did not have any impact at all. If anything, the casino was busier than ever.
I am looking forward to the article that lists the revenue brought in during January for the Elgin and Aurora casinos. I don't think Illinois has to worry about losing any money to Wisconsin.
