Teachers can win grants
Pre-kindergarten to high school educators in the Chicago area will be awarded $750,000 in grants and scholarships through the A+ for Energy program, which recognizes innovative energy education programs. In addition to receiving grants of $5,000 or $10,000 to implement programs, teachers will attend a three-day Energy Educator Training Conference in California. For more about the program, which is sponsored by BP, visit www.aplusforenergy.org. Applications must be submitted by March 7, and winners will be notified in mid-May.
