Voting guides sent out

The Chicago Elections Board says it is mailing detailed instructions on how to navigate the voting system to more than a million Chicago households in anticipation of next month's primary election. The election board announced the distribution of 1.1 million voter guides yesterday. The guides explain how voters can use the touch-screen and optical-scan systems, where and how to cast an early ballot to avoid long lines on Feb. 5, and detailed instructions on where to find the proper polling places. The guides will be mailed out through Friday. Information in the guides can also be accessed at www.chicagoelections.com or by calling (312) 269-7900.
