Breakfast with legislators set
The Greater O'Hare Association will hold a "Breakfast with your Legislators" meeting from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Belvedere Banquets, 1170 W. Devon Ave., Elk Grove Village. Each legislator will report on major issues concerning the business community; participants can then submit questions to the legislators. Legislators confirmed to attend include Sens. Carole Pankau and Dan Kotowski, Reps. Sandy Pihos, Dennis Reboletti, Elaine Nekritz, Rosemary Mulligan and Carolyn Krause.

District 214 soloist recital Tuesday
Township High School District 214's culminating recital in the annual Instrumental Soloist Competition will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. Six semifinalists representing most of the district's high schools will compete for the opportunity to perform as a featured soloist with the Honors Orchestra at the school district's Honors Music Festival on March 5.
Prospect to hold 50-year celebration
Prospect High School invites the community, alumni and current and former staff members to an open house at the school from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. "Celebrating 50 Years of Pride and Respect," the event includes a formal rededication ceremony, a reception and building tours featuring the new facilities. Memorabilia will be displayed.
