DePaul comes back, snaps two-game skid
Caprice Smith scored 15 points, Felicia Chester added 13 and No. 24 DePaul held off Providence 66-55 Saturday in Providence, R.I., to snap a two-game losing streak.
Allie Quigley helped DePaul (12-3, 1-1 Big East) with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Freshman Mi-Khida Hankins paced Providence (10-5, 0-2 Big East) with 20 points to equal her season high and Kendria Holmes added 11.
The Friars led by as many as 6 points early in the first half, but the Blue Demons regained the lead at 25-24 with 7:47 left on a pair of free throws by Chester.
Providence shot 58 percent from the floor in the first half but trailed 42-37 at the break. The Friars shot just 15 percent in the second half.
Connecticut 92, Louisville 71: Maya Moore led five Connecticut players in double figures with 23 points and 7 rebounds as the top-ranked Huskies remained unbeaten, racing by host Louisville (11-5, 0-3 Big East).

Stanford 83, Oregon 49: Candice Wiggins scored 20 points to help No. 7 Stanford (14-3, 4-2 Pac-10) win its sixth straight game over visiting Oregon (8-8, 2-3).
Baylor 59, Texas A&M 56: Danielle Wilson had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Angela Tisdale hit a 3-pointer with 38 seconds left to lift eighth-ranked Baylor (14-1, 2-0 Big 12) over No. 13 Texas A&M in Waco, Texas.
Takia Starks scored 16 and was the only player with more than 8 points for Texas A&M (12-4, 0-2).
California 61, Oregon State 45: Devanei Hampton had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and ninth-ranked California (15-2, 6-0 Pac-10) held Oregon State (8-8, 1-4) to 26 percent shooting for its first seven-game winning streak in 16 years.
