Brokers conference to focus on business buys

The Midwest Business Brokers & Intermediaries' holds its annual conference, billed "M&A Deal or No Deal," Jan. 24 and 25 at the Holiday Inn Express, Rosemont.

MBBI is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting professional and ethical excellence in the business broker and intermediary community.

"Over the next decade, 65 percent of small- and medium-sized businesses will be sold," said Todd Cushing, President of MBBI and principal of EBIT Associates.

The keynote speaker is Robert Schumacher, executive director with Van Kampen Investments and chief strategist for the Van Kampen Strategy Group.
