Lyric soprano to perform at local chapter

The Barrington Chapter of the Lyric Opera of Chicago invites the community to a free afternoon of music, featuring Lyric soprano Lauren Curnow and international pianist Luciano Laurentiu.

Sponsored by Barrington Lyric members Wanda and Jim Hollensteiner of North Barrington, the program takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy. The event is dedicated to the memory of longtime Barrington Lyric member Betty Nearing.
