Father accused of murder
A Chicago man who worked for a state-funded program for troubled youth is being held in lieu of $1 million bond on charges he killed his 1-month-old daughter. Quinton Fisher is charged with first-degree murder in the Dec. 31 death of Lydia Houston. The girl's mother dropped the infant off at Fisher's home on Dec. 29, where he was to care for the baby until New Year's Day. During a bond hearing Wednesday, Assistant State's Attorney Jose Villarreal said Fisher told police the baby didn't stop crying and he "didn't know what to do." Fisher then shook the baby and slammed her on the bed.
