Baseball league sets registration

The Central District Baseball League will have its walk-in registration Jan. 19 and Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at Burlington Central High School, 44W625 Plato Road.

All potential managers and coaches must attend the Jan. 19 registration in order to complete mandatory background check forms.

Online registration is available through Feb. 23 at the league's Web site, www.cdbaseball.org .

Registration forms and checks can be mailed to: Central District Baseball League, P.O. Box 5551, Elgin, IL 60121-5551.

The deadline for league registration is Feb. 23. Opening day for the season is scheduled for April 19.

The district is open to players who live within the Central Unit District 301 boundaries, which includes portions of Burlington, Elgin, Plato Center, Maple Park and St. Charles.

Players who are between the ages of 5 and 17 compete in T-Ball (age 5-6), Pinto (age 7-8), Mustang (age 9-10), Bronco (age 11-12), Pony (age 13-14) and Colt (age 15-17).
