St. Charles police seek aspirin bandit

St. Charles police are searching for a man who has twice stolen over-the-counter drugs from a Jewel-Osco while dressed as a pharmacy lab technician.

According to a police report, the man first stole medication from Jewel-Osco, 2073 Prairie St., on Dec. 28, with the help of another man who opened the door for him as he fled with a bag of merchandise.

The man returned Sunday and set off an alarm as he left the store through a delivery entrance with a black bag containing an unspecified amount of Tylenol, Aleve, Zantac and Senokot, a mild laxative.

Surveillance cameras caught the incident on video.

The suspect is described as between 20 and 30 years old. He stands about 5 feet, 6 inches to 6 feet tall, has brown hair and a medium to thin build. He was wearing gray slacks, a tie, dress shirt, and blue lab coat bearing a name and company logo, which weren't clear on the surveillance video, in both incidents.

To report information about the crimes, call (630) 377-4435.
