Material Sciences announces results

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- Material Sciences Corp., a provider of material-based solutions for acoustical and coated applications, reported results for the third quarter that ended Nov. 30. Net sales increased 7.3 percent to $65.1 million from $60.7 million in the third quarter last year. The company reported net income of $700,000, or 5 cents per diluted common share, compared with a net loss of $200,000, or a loss of 1 cent per diluted common share.
