Construction workers find skeleton in empty house

Construction workers renovating a home on Chicago's South Side yesterday (Tuesday) found what appears to be a human skeleton inside the building.

A police department spokeswoman says the body was badly decomposed and a determination has not been made on the gender or approximate age of the victim.

Police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor says police are conducting a death investigation, she said.

An autopsy is scheduled for today (Wednesday).
