Prochno will help sort out state mess
To the editor: Everyone in the state of Illinois knows that our state government is a mess. Democrats fighting among themselves have rendered our state government dysfunctional.
We desperately need new representation in Springfield, people that care about something other than their own special interests. That's why I endorse Christine Prochno for the candidate for the Republican state representative in the 66th district.
Although I consider her a friend, that's not why I endorse her. I do so because she is bright, honest and a hard-working person and I know she really cares.
She has served with honor and distinction on the Elk Grove Village Board for 10 years and has always been willing to listen to citizens' concerns.
That's not all she does, however. Christine joined The Elk Grove Village Lioness Club a few years ago. She didn't just attend meetings and enjoy her status as a village trustee. No, she jumped in with both feet doing whatever needed to be done. She took a leadership role in helping to organize and implement fundraisers, doing her utmost to make this already fine club even better. She currently serves on the board of directors.
I could go on and on about her involvement in the community, but would surely miss something. Suffice to say that, wherever there is a need Christine Prochno seems to be there.
Our problems in Springfield are enormous and it doesn't look like they will go away anytime soon.
Electing Christine Prochno and others like her will be a big step in the right direction.
