Take responsibility for global warming
A recent letter by Elizabeth Pearson claims global warming is a hoax because it's pretty cold this winter and it was not so unbearably hot this past summer that it caused her a whole lot of discomfort.
Wow! That, and the opinion of a self-serving lawyer (Christopher Horner) that appears (after I watched several of his appearances and read parts of his book) to hate anybody that tries to protect the environment sure makes me feel a whole lot better about global warming.
But her final point is what's really disturbing: "The Bible does not give man control over the earth's demise, that God declares is his domain".
Using God and the Bible as an excuse to pollute and trash the planet, and yet not take any responsibility, is selfish and just plain pathetic. We are taught to take responsibility for our actions, and that is what we need to do.
I do not know all the scientific facts about global warming. I do not know how much is caused by man and how much is just the cycle of the planet.
I do know that if global warming is just a big hoax and if we proceed in reducing pollution anyway, the worst thing that can happen is maybe we will have clean air and water as our consequence. In my opinion, that would make God look down on us and smile.
