Odd when meetings are secret, and not

I find it interesting that Carpentersville Village President Bill Sarto is alleging that a meeting of the Fox Valley Citizens for Legal Immigration is "secret and deceptive" since he is undoubtedly doing the very same thing with Linda Ramirez-Sliwinski!

However, he does not bother to send out newsletters to anyone, as the FVCLI does. All he has to do is join and he will receive notice. He doesn't have to do anything. He will get notified of all meetings and even bring friends along.

After all, the meetings are held to give the people information that will never be discussed at village board meetings.

Sarto said he would meet to discuss the legality of the meetings next week. One has to ask the question of whether that meeting will be secret.

Will the reporters of the Daily Herald be invited? Probably not! I get the feeling I am reliving the witch hunting in Salem or the McCarthyism era of 1940s and 1950s. Or perhaps I'm visiting the "sky is falling" wing.
