Inconvenient truth is Gore energy use
This is in response to (the letter charging) Republicans (are) jealous of Al Gore winning the Nobel peace prize.
I don't think the Republicans are jealous. I think, like a lot people, they're perplexed. Al Gore owns a 20-room mansion with eight bathrooms in Tennessee that is heated by natural gas. Gore's property alone consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. Gore travels in private jets and limousines.
So is Al Gore's message, "Do as I say, not as I do?"
The inconvenient truth is for him and people like him. Most people I know, including myself, live in modest homes and turn down our heat and recycle.
As for the humanitarian work of the Democrats -- Jimmy Carter probably didn't want his legacy to be the Iran Hostage Crisis and Bill Clinton probably didn't want his legacy to be Monica Lewinsky and the stained dress.
