• She has been at the school for six months. The first phase of Fremont Intermediate School just opened in September, but she has worked in the school district for five years, formerly as assistant principal at Fremont Middle School, the district athletic coordinator and interim Intermediate School principal last year .

• What is your favorite memory from Fremont Intermediate School? "My most favorite memory is the staff, teachers, and students working together the first few days of school to successfully open the first phase/classroom portion of the new school," Glasgow says, noting "the front of the building phase two (project) which includes the front office, PE area, music, band and cafeteria are still not open." Those are set to open this month.

• What do you think is an unique aspect of your school? "The most unique aspect of the new school is our front entrance, new band room, music room and media center (all set to open in January 2008)."

• What are you most proud of? "I am most proud of how patient and supportive the staff, teachers, students and parents have been in opening our new school."

• If all school enrollments were determined by choice, what would you say to potential parents to convince them to choose Fremont Intermediate School for their children? "I feel Fremont Intermediate School stands far above the rest due to the caring wonderful teachers (known as the Fremont family) and the curriculum, which meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all the students in Fremont 79. The combination of it all produces exceptional students."

• How has technology (computers, the Internet) changed the way students learn over the past five years? Has that been a good change? "Technology has expanded the world around us for our students," wrote Glasgow in an e-mail. "They are constantly able to access new information and ideas from around the globe from different cultures, people and mindsets. This is an been a good change for students in school districts like Fremont. Our students can be exposed to a wealth of ideas and knowledge from different cultures and people thus expanding the horizons for Fremont students."

• If you can get one thing accomplished between now and the end of May in your school, what would it be? "My primary goal is for the students, teachers and staff to have a fully functional building to facilitate the educational process of the students."
