Only conservative in 14th race is Lauzen

As a conservative from the predominantly Democrat-controlled 11th Ward in Chicago, I have an opinion on the endorsement of Jim Oberweis from retiring U.S. congressman Dennis Hastert for Hastert's seat.

Seeing how woefully, painfully dysfunctional the Republican establishment is in Illinois, I recognize this endorsement as cynical, yet another insult to real conservatives, and a marriage between power, money and elitist establishment.

The true Republican for the 14th congressional district is sitting state Sen. Chris Lauzen, who is just about the only conservative still fighting against the onslaught of liberal Democrat Party overkill of Illinois. For his 15 years serving Illinois with utmost integrity, voters in U.S. House District 14 ought to elect Lauzen.

Send a solid Illinois conservative to Washington, D.C. -- the soft-spoken but articulate Lauzen.
