Police are searching for a man they say stole three canvas bags Saturday from the Meijer store that contained about $2,000 in unknown denominations. Police said employees placed the bags in a cart, using them to replenish shelf-serve checkout machines at the store, located at 815 S. Randall Road. At 9:43 p.m., police say a man wearing a tan hat and a tan hooded sweatshirt grabbed three bags out of the cart and ran out of the store, exiting through the south end's main doors. Store staff later recovered one of the bags the suspect dropped outside while fleeing the establishment, but the other two remain at large, police said.
