• Kelsey Cole, daughter of Stephen and Sandra Cole of Grayslake, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Monmouth College for achieving at least a 3.667 grade-point average. She is a sophomore English major.

• Hayley Townsend, daughter of Steven and Cathie Townsend of Grayslake, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Monmouth College for achieving at least a 3.667 grade-point average. She is a senior education/Spanish major.

• Daniel Thomas Green of Grayslake was awarded a Certificate of Academic Excellence by Northern Illinois University's Academic Advising Center for achieving a grade-point average of 4.00 during the spring 2007 semester.

• Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, named the following students to the Dean's List for the spring 2007 semester.
