Stevenson vs. Fenwick: The Stevenson Patriots junior varsity hockey team took to the ice against the Fenwick Friars in an HIT conference game at Center Ice of Glen Ellyn. After a tentative beginning in the first half of the first period, Stevenson scored 4 goals in just over 4 minutes. The scoring began when Myles Lobus flipped in a backhander after a helper from Wayne Glickstern. On the very next play, off of the ensuing center ice faceoff, Kollin Fairbanks got the puck to Justin Krupp who scored from the top of the right faceoff circle. Forty-nine seconds later, after a faceoff in Fenwick's defensive zone, Tyler St. Martin grabbed a bouncing puck and scored again. Later, Jake Gould picked up a loose puck to score for a 4-0 lead at the end of the first period. Stevenson added one goal in each of the last two periods by Nick Fasano and Tyler St. Martin. Mitch Levinson's bid for a shutout was spoiled when Fenwick scored a goal with 7 minutes left to play in the game. Stevenson's 6-1 victory extended its HIT record to 6-2.
