Don't use religion to reject Romney
Even though I am not a regular church-goer, I consider myself a Christian.
What's more, I still can remember some of the people I learned about in the Bible who were embraced by Christ: The lepers whom he cleansed. The Samaritan Woman at the well. The parable of the Good Samaritan. The woman caught in adultery. The Roman Centurion whose unequivocal faith in Jesus helped cure his "servant" long distance. The harlot, Mary Magdalene. The woman with an issue of blood who touched the hem of his garment.
If one is a regular church-goer -- and an Evangelical Christian -- would that person not know these about these people, too?
How then can they dismiss someone like Mitt Romney because his religious beliefs are different?
Perhaps those who do should remember whom Christ rejected -- the Pharisees and hypocrites whom he compared to "whitened sepulchers," shiny and bright on the outside and full of rotten bones inside.
I want someone elected president who has the welfare of the United States as his only priority regardless where he wears his religion.
