Second man charged in death of police officer's son

A judge ordered a 23-year-old Chicago man extradited from Michigan and charged in the shooting death of a police officer's son to be held without bail.

Chicago police say Darius Walton was charged Monday with first-degree murder in the October Sixth shooting of Ronald Heard Junior.

Police say Walton was extradited from Michigan after being arrested there last month on an unrelated charge.

Heard was shot multiple times at a White Castle drive-through at 69th Street and Western Avenue.

Police say he was trying to defend a woman who was being attacked, allegedly by the gunman.

Eighteen-year-old Rashad Johnson has already been charged in Heard's death. His bond has been set at $500,000.
