Aurora man dies after being thrown from car involved in shooting
A 21-year-old Aurora man has died after being thrown from a vehicle that police say had just been involved in a shooting.
Aurora Police say they don't know if the man was a passenger or the driver of the SUV. Police say the three men inside were involved in a shooting with either another vehicle or a pedestrian and then fled.
The men then rammed into another car, crashed through a fence and stopped in a home's front yard.
Authorities say the man was thrown from the SUV during the crash and became stuck underneath it. Witnesses say the two other men fled on foot. A gun was found inside the SUV.
Aurora Police say the dead man's identity is being withheld pending notification of his family. The Kane County Coroner is scheduled to perform an autopsy tomorrow.
