Sterling's goal wins for Wolves

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- Left wing Brett Sterling scored his AHL-leading 18th goal with 21 seconds left in overtime to give the Chicago Wolves a 4-3 overtime victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena on Saturday night.

Centers Steve Martins and Kevin Doell and defenseman Karel Pilar also scored goals, while linemates Jason Krog (3A) and Darren Haydar (2A) both collected multiple points in the Wolves third straight win.

The Wolves have scored 21 goals over the last three games, the most in a three-game span in franchise history. Theys lead the Western Conference and rank second in the AHL with 21 victories.
