Body found in burned car in West Dundee

A person was found dead early this morning inside a car parked in a garage that caught fire overnight in West Dundee, police said.

Firefighters found the body sometime after 2 a.m., after containing the blaze that had engulfed the detached garage on the 500 block of South 7th Street, police said.

Police say there's no evidence of foul play, but they are still investigating.

Authorities haven't identified the victim, pending an autopsy that is ongoing at the Kane County Coroner's office.
