This holiday story suitable for the entire family is the stage version of Jean Shepherd's movie about Christmas in Indiana in the 1950s. Charlie Brieger of Elgin directs the cast.

"Comedy Sportz" at Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, Fridays at 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 p.m. through Dec. 29. A unique blend of fast, funny and smart improvisational comedy that is appropriate for all ages. The Red and Blue teams perform a series of scenes and songs, all based on suggestions from the audience. The audience then decides who wins each battle by voting for which team made them laugh the hardest. No two shows are ever the same.
