Auditions

Auditions may be scheduled through Dec. 31 for the Fox Valley Academy of Music Performance for the spring term of Fox Valley Youth Symphony Orchestras and associated ensembles. The Spring 2008 term will begin Jan. 13 and conclude with a concert on April 6.

Information about the ensembles and audition requirements may be found at www.fvyso.org. Potential students may audition for positions with the Fox Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Fox Valley Academy Orchestra, Fox Valley Youth Strings or Fox Valley Flutes.

Auditions for "The Velveteen Rabbit" will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 12 for children 9 to 16 at Steel Beam Theatre, 111 W. Main St., St. Charles. Director Sandy Dixon is looking for a cast of 17 to 20 actors for this tuition based program which rehearses on Saturday mornings and performs every Saturday in March at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. with a few shows at 3 p.m. There is no preparation needed: actors are seen on a first come basis.
