Key Conrad Black witness faces 29-month sentence
The star witness in the monthslong trial against former media baron Conrad Black is expected to be sentenced to 29 months in prison.
F. David Radler is to appear in court Monday to be sentenced for mail fraud as part of a deal with prosecutors. He also faces a $250,000 fine.
Radler was Black's longtime business partner who was a key witnesses in the trial against the former head of Hollinger International.
Black was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison last week for swindling shareholders in his Chicago-based media empire out of $6 million.
Black also was fined $125,000 and ordered to pay part of $6.1 million in restitution.
